Joe “Everett Collins”

Joe “Everett” Collins was born the son of John A. and Alice (Dickey) Collins on April 2, 1951 Hardy, Ark.. and went to be with the Lord Jan. 28, 2022 in Jonesboro, Ark. at the age of 70 years. 
He is survived by his wife, Diane, of the home; four children, Chris Collins (Ann) of Hardy, Jennifer (Ronnie) Jones of Hardy, Matthew (Johna) Collins of Hardy and Tracy Collins of Hardy; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; five brothers, Johnny Collins of Hardy, Ark., Danny Collins of Hardy, Ark. Tommy Collins of Mammoth Spring, Ark., Clyde Collins of Madisonville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Lou Merson of Zion, Ill. and Joyce Dommert of Mountain View, Ark.; numerous nieces; nephews, other relatives and many friends. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Donald and Walter; one sister, Thelma Melton and a great-granddaughter, Avery. 
He was a born-again Christian who loved his family and always worked hard to provide for them. He was a skilled carpenter for many years. He loved to spend his time outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening. 
He will be truly missed by all who knew him. 
A visitation was held Monday Jan.31 in Wortham Funeral Home Oak Hill Chapel. Funeral services were Tues.Feb. 1 in the chapel of Wortham Funeral of Highland, Ark. Burial followed in Ed Collins Cemetery in Wirth, Ark.
