Fulton County registered sex offender and local business owner arrested with wife for rape and permitting rape

A Fulton County registered Level Two sex offender and his wife  were arrested in Fulton County for the rape and permitting the rape of a nine year old female child. 

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause filed in Fulton County Circuit Court, from the Crimes Against Children Division of the Arkansas State Police (CACD) conducted an interview with the child who disclosed to them that Chad Huckabee, 39, performed “deviate sexual acts” on her while she was in the care of he and his wife, Lorie Huckabee, 38.  The Huckabee’s own and operate Spring River Thrift Store on Main Street in Mammoth Spring, a business in which children often accompany their parents as they shop.

The child also told the investigator that on one occasion Lorie had entered the bedroom and told her husband to stop. While he stopped, Lori did not report the crime. This happened a second time, while his wife was in the same bed and she told him to stop, he did, but she did not report the crime. 

On June 28, Chad Huckabee, who has already been convicted of Indecent Acts and Liberties with a Child and in another case was charged in 16th Judicial District by Prosecuting Attorney Eric Hance, with Rape, a Class Y Felony, punishable by 40 years to life in prison, Lori Huckabee was charged with Permitting the Rape of a minor, a Class B Felony. 

The couple remain in the Fulton County Detention Center. Bond was set at $200,000 cash or professional for Chad and $100,000 cash or professional for Lori. The bonds were set June 27 by Circuit Judge Tim Weaver.
