Casino Night benefit held at Cooper’s Pointe

On Oct. 20 Cooper’s Pointe was filled with enthusiasm and positive energy from attendees of the Ozarka College Foundation Casino Night. This fun night of gambling was one fall fundraiser residents and supporters of Sharp County delighted in. Guests enjoyed an assortment of hor d´oeuvres over the course of the evening prepared by Chow on the Square located in Cherokee Village. Casino games included bingo, blackjack, craps, let it ride, three card poker, and roulette where guests could earn chips to win prizes like one-of-a-kind pieces of art by local artists, limited edition luggage, gift certificates and more.
After a night of casino play, guests prepared for the auction that would close out the evening’s festivities. All attendees who purchased $100 worth of play money for the event were entered into a raffle for a chance to win at the end of the auction. Several items were auctioned off that were generously donated by local community members and businesses. After a successful auction raising funds for Ozarka College Sharp County students and campuses, festivities ended with several supporters winning raffle items.
“The College is extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from the Sharp County community,” said Dr. Josh Wilson, Ozarka College vice president of advancement. “This event is a testament to Sharp County’s commitment to uplifting those in their community through education.”
