A carnival, bouncy houses, live music and Santa Claus himself are just a few things planned for Community Fest at John 3:16 Ministries on Sat., Nov. 19.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Headliner is the award-winning Annie Moses Band, which will be kicking off their 2022 Christmas Tour at Community Fest.
Gates open at 9 a.m. and festivities will start at 10 with a live auction with vehicles, motorcycles, mowers, tractors, backhoes and more. A silent auction will also take place.
Santa Claus and his elves will be on hand to take photos with the children. There will also be a Ferris wheel and other carnival rides from PBJ Happee Day Shows (which provides rides at the Independence County Fair), bouncy houses and a fireworks show, all of which are free. There will also be a 60-foot Christmas tree on display.
Concessions will be sold.
The event will also include a giveaway of a 2018 Intimidator Enforcer Side-By-Side, with an estimated value of $21,000.
Raffle tickets are $10 and may be purchased by calling John 3:16 at 870-799-2525 or Instructor Brent Waugh at 870-834-9308.
“We look forward to having everyone come out and kick off the holiday season with the Annie Moses Band and fun for the whole family,” said John 3:16 Director Bryan Tuggle.
The Annie Moses Band will teach music to kids from 4 to 5 p.m., before taking the stage at the ministry’s new amphitheater starting at 8.
The Annie Moses Band is an eclectic Americana band in which music runs four generations deep. The band includes five siblings from Nashville and trained at Julliard in New York City.
They have performed for more than a decade for audiences at the Grand Ole Opry House and on the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) Christmas specials.
Annie Dupre is lead vocalist for the group, which is producing a new television series called the Annie Moses Show in the style of television shows by Carol Burnett and Lawrence Welk.
John 3:16 is a spiritual-based boot camp for men with drug and alcohol addictions. The men are not charged for their stay, as the ministry is primarily funded by donations and fundraisers.
For 20 years, John 3:16 has been helping men conquer their drug and alcohol addictions at no cost to them. From day 1 when someone asks how much it will cost for their loved one to attend, Tuggle has always explained, “Jesus Christ already paid the price.”
John 3:16 is located at 75 Holmes Road in Charlotte, just off Highway 25/White Drive. For more information, call 870-799-2525 or visit john316thecure.com.
