Sharp County Community Foundation, an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation, recently hosted a Giving Tree Grant Awards Reception to recognize the recipients of a Sharp County Giving Tree Grant. Just under $13,500 was granted to the following Sharp County non-profits:
• City of Hardy
• Cave City First Assembly Food Pantry
•Ozark Foothills Literacy Project
• Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas
• Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund
• For Every Dog Rescue, Inc. “The Sharp County Community Foundation wanted to have a reception to recognize and raise awareness of the amazing work being done by the charities and nonprofits in our community,” said Dan Milligan, executive director of the Sharp County affiliate. “Our community really showed their support by attending the reception and congratulating the grant recipients. FNBC and Bank of Cave City sponsored the event, and the Spring River Innovation Hub graciously allowed us to host our reception in their event space. ”Sharp County Community Foundation makes grants through the Giving Tree program annually.
