A hit-and-run accident on Sept. 6 claimed the life of an 18-year-old Fulton County man.
According to a press release from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the office received a 911 call stating that Reid Grant, 18, had been struck by a car. The caller stated that he was the driver and urged dispatch to send an ambulance as fast as possible.
When first responders arrived, life-saving efforts were made, but they could not get a pulse. The helicopter was called off, and the coroner was notified.
Arkansas State Police (ASP) Troop I arrived on scene to work the accident.
This case is still under active investigation, and so details are limited.
Although it is not believed that anything was done to intentionally harm Reid, the case deserves a full investigation as to the circumstances surrounding his death.
Grant was a well-loved young man who worked at NAEC in Salem.
Funeral services for Grant were held Sept. 9.
