Students in Highland High School Senior Band were selected last week for the 2021-22 Senior High All-Region Band. Highland had several first band musicians and several who will also audition for All-State Band. 

Among the All-Region Band from Highland are:

Connor Galbreath, flute, second band seventh chair; Kayla Sue Pickle, bassoon, second band, second chair; Dani Jordan, clarinet, first band eighth chair and will audition for All State; Benjamin Wooten, clarinet, first band, nineteenth chair; Robert Jett, clarinet, second band fifteenth chair; Megan Wood, contra clarinet, first band, second chair and will audition for All-State. Even Bruner, alto saxophone, first band second chair and will audition for All-State; Leila Seagraves, alto saxophone, second band fifth chair; Daniel Horton, baritone saxophone, first band second chair and will audition for All-State; Kristen Garner, trumpet, second band, eighth chair, Emily Taylor, horn, first band fourth chair and will audition for All-State; Camelia Heart, Horn, first band eighth chair and will be an alternate to audition for All State;Archer Dienst, trombone, first band, seventh chair and willl audition for All State; Matthew Grade, bass trombone, first chair, second band and will audition for All State; Hunter Wortham, euphonium, second band, sixth chair; and Luke Bruner, second band, fourth chair. 

The Highland Senior High Band is led by Greg Bruner and assisted by Hope Bruner. The Burners have led the Highland bands to excellence ratings and numerous awards in marching competitions, concert band, solo and ensemble and numerous All Region and All State band members through their many years at Highland.
