Village Juniors win first USAV volleyball tourney

USA Volleyball ( USAV is the national governing body of volleyball in the United States) held a two day sanctioned tournament hosted by Playmaker Sports Academy Feb. 5-6 in Batesville, Ark. The ‘Village Juniors, made up of 13 year olds from the Highland School District, won their first USAV Volleyball Tournament with five wins and zero losses. They beat ‘Mineral Area’ (South of St.Louis, Mo) ‘J-Town’ (Jonesboro), ‘White River Jrs’ (Batesville), ‘Southside Sting’ (Southside) and in the finals, the ‘Memphis VB Academy’ (Memphis, Tenn.).
