BRTC Student Affairs hosted drop-ins in Pocahontas and Paragould for the grand opening of the eSports areas. In Paragould, the area is located inside the new Coffee Shop featuring Starbucks coffee.
In Pocahontas, the arena and practice room are located in Farmers and Merchants Lounge near the new Coffee Shop featuring Starbucks coffee inside the Richard Gaines Technology Center.
Both rooms feature Lenovo Legion gaming computers specifically built for online and local gaming. Students also have access to Infinity Game Tables which feature a 32” HD touchscreen playing surface and have popular games like Candyland, Operation, Checkers, Chess, and Solitaire.
BRTC is not currently in a college-level league, but adding eSports to BRTC activities has been a priority over the summer months and the spaces give students the opportunity to game whether recreationally or competitively.
The eSports area is available to any BRTC student Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
