City of Hardy seeks applicants to fill vacant council seat

The Hardy City Council recently met on January 17, 2023 and declared a vacancy on the city council. Registered voters living in Ward 2 of Hardy who are interested in filling the open seat (Position 1) must submit a petition of at least 10 signatures of registered voters in the city to Hardy City Hall by 4:00 p.m., February 9, 2023. With the valid petition, a personal statement/letter of interest in the position, and a completed questionnaire should also be submitted to the Mayor’s Office at the City of Hardy by the deadline. A resume is optional to submit. A blank petition, the stated questionnaire, and a Ward map is available for request at Hardy City Hall. For more information, phone 870-856-3811.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned Commissioner will; on the 9th day of February,  2023, pursuant to the Decree of the Circuit Court of Sharp County Arkansas, offer for sale at public auction at the front door of the Sharp County Courthouse, Ash Flat, Arkansas, to the highest bidder and best bidder, the following described real property in Greene County, Arkansas:

Lot One Hundred (I00}, Block Nine (9). Riverbend Park Addition to the Bluffs On Spring River Subdivision, per recorded plat or plats, and subject to the easements, notes and other indicated restrictions, if any on said plat or plats, and subject to the conditions and restrictions as set forth in the Bill of Assurance and Amendments thereto, if any, of record in the office of the Circuit Court Clerk and Ex-Officio recorder of said County and State.

Said sale will be held at 10:00 a.m local time, 10% payable at the conclusion of the auction with a credit of thirty (30) days for the balance  and the purchaser at said sale shall be required to give bond, with approved sureties, to secure the payment of the purchase price and then percent (10%) interest thereon, and a lien will be retained on said land further to secure said purchase money.
