Cattle hauler rollover injures one at Evening Shade

A three vehicle accident occurred t on Nov. 28 at the Evening Shade Citgo. It sent one to the hospital via Survival Flight with serious injuries and closed the highway for several hours.
A semi truck pullinga trailer with Texas tags that was hauling cattle overturned in the ditch in front of the store. According to witnesses at the Citgo, the semi hit a car that pulled out in front of it. The semi’s back tires slid off the shoulder, flipping the truck and trailer over into the ditch and part of the store’s parking lot.
Part of the semi trailer landed on the bed of a parked truck as the driver was inside having breakfast. A few of the cattle in the trailer did not survive. The driver of the semi was not injured, but a person in the car was the patient who was air lifted. There is no word on his or her condition at this time .
Crews with Shane Dail Dail’s Wrecker Service worked for several hours uprighting the truck and clearing the scene after the cattle had been offloaded.
Both North and Southbound traffic was diverted through town. Also working the accident scene were both Evening Shade and Cave City Fire Departments, Evening Shade Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Spring River Paramedic Ambulance Service and Survival Flight.
