A Captain at an area fire department found himself behind bars recently for being in “somewhat of a relationship” with a 13year old female who he allegedly raped on three different occasions. Kyle Brabon, 24, of Fulton County was arrested on March 7for the initial charge of Second Degree Sexual Assault, a Class B Felony. Just one week later, he was again arrested, this time being charged with three counts of Rape, a Class Y Felony. This time his original $10,000bond was increased to$200,000 due to the seriousness of the offense. According to court documents filed by the Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s office, The case began after reports were made and on Feb.21, Brabon grabbed the 13 year old victim on the rear end. Brabon was reported to use his influence as the Koshkonong Fire Department Captain over the homeowner. In a second Post Miranda interview conducted by Fulton County Sheriff’s Department Investigators spoke with Brabon about new evidence in the investigation. According to the court document during the interview Bra-bon admitted he and the 13 year old victim were in “Somewhat of a relationship and that he really liked her.” He admitted to having sexual intercourse with the child on three separate occasions in a shed behind a Mammoth Spring residence in February and that he had also had sex with the child in a residence in Oregon County, Mo. At press time Brabon remained incarcerated on the charges that’s penalties can include forty years to life in prison.
