Man Cave offers masculine barbershop environment and traditional services

Tammy Curtis, Managing Editor

A new barbershop opened last week in Highland and men in the area have been happy to be able to get their hair cut quickly without a required appointment. The Man Cave, is located across from Highland City Hall at 1669 Hwy,. 62/412, next to Bobby Woods Shelter Insurance. Owner Laura Conley said she loved cutting hair and worked in a barber shop near a military base and learned early on how todo many of the popular hair cuts men want. She is very excited to also offer a reward card for repeat customers. With already reasonable prices for cuts, buzz cuts, detailed cuts including skin and taper fades and beard services, after nine cuts the tenth is free. Upon entering the shop, her customers are greeted by sports memorabilia of all kinds and a big screen television to allow them to watch programs they like as she works on their hair. Laura plans to have a table set up soon with games like checkers for customers to play as they wait, if she is extra busy. The Man Cave is open Tuesday through Friday from9 a.m. to 5 p.m, and on Saturdays from 8a.m. to noon. Laura does not take appointments and is a walk in, first come first serve barber
