From a Press Release from Fulton County Sheriff’s Department

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Department released the name of the person who drowned near Saddler Falls on the Spring River on June 21.

According to a release issued by Fulton County Chief Deputy William Fawcett, 25-year-old Crista Allman of  Burlison, Tenn., passed away at the White River Medical Center Emergency Department after Crista fell out of the canoe she was floating in with another friend at the “Needle’s Eye” turn near Saddler Falls. 

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Mammoth Spring Police Department were dispatched to the location on the river. 

Emergency Medical personnel arrived and began to render life-saving aid. Crista was transported by ambulance, where she was later pronounced deceased. The incident is still under investigation pending the report from the Arkansas Medical Examiner’s office.

Funeral services for Allman were held June 27 at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel in Covington, Tenn.
