Love was in the air at Cave City Elementary School on Feb. 11. Students in Hana Smith’s high school art classes transformed themselves into love bugs for Valentine’s Day. Students prepared Valentines jars for the kindergarten classes. Decorating the jars with stickers and gender specific decor for the children to collect their Valentine cards was a labor of love and kindness.
On Friday, seniors Maddox Moreland and Miquel Bahena and juniors Lucy Snoke and Cadence Milligan dressed as love bugs donning their Valentine’s Day antennas and “flew” into the kindergarten classrooms to deliver their surprises.
Students were thrilled with the kindness offered and each were able to select a jar of their choice. Spiderman was a huge hit with the boys.
Smith said she chose the project for her class to share and promote kindness during the holiday.
