23 drug related felonies come from arrest of 13 people

Several area law enforcement agencies have been working diligently for over a year conducting several drug investigations. August 1 hundreds of hours of work paid off and was a huge day for officers across Fulton and Izard County. 

Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Salem Police Department, Mammoth Spring Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Department of Community Corrections Dog Team and Probation/Parole, Arkansas Fugitive Task Force,16th Judicial District Drug Task Force, and Izard County Sheriff’s Office of Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Investigators concluded an investigation that resulted in the arrests of the individuals listed below.  

Jana Parnell, 53, of Mountain Home, was arrested for:

  • Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, Class Y Felony
  • Possession of methamphetamine more than 2 but less than 10 grams- Class C Felony
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony
  • Possession of a firearm by a certain person-Class B Felony

Aaron Guptill, 55, of Salem, was arrested for:

  • Possession of a firearm by a certain person-Class B Felony
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony

Brian Guptill, 36, of Salem, was arrested for:

  • Possession of a firearm by a certain person-Class B Felony

Derek Rogers, 37, of Mammoth Spring, was arrested for:

  • Possession of methamphetamine less than  2 grams-Class D Felony
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony
  • Petition to revoke probation

Brianna Baney, 36, of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested for:

• Possession of methamphetamine less than 2 grams- Class D Felony

• Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony

Latisha Smithee, 40, of Salem was arrested for:

• Possession of methamphetamine more than 2 but less than 10 grams- Class C Felony

• Possession of methamphetamine less than 2 grams- Class D Felony

• Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony

David Pardue, 74, of Salem, was arrested for:

  • Possession of methamphetamine less than 2 grams- Class D Felony

•  Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony

  • Placed on a patrol hold

Vickie Edmondson 61, of a Salem was arrested for:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony

Clifton Burrows, 40, of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested for:

• Possession of methamphetamine more than 2 but less than 10 grams- Class C Felony

Brandy Gibson, 39, of Mammoth Spring, was arrested for:

• Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled substance, less than 2 grams- Class D Felony

Courtney Burk, 26, of Viola was arrested for:

• Possession of methamphetamine less than 2 grams- Class D Felony

• Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony

  • Two counts of First Degree Endangering the welfare of a minor- Class D Felony

Ernest Almaguer, 44, of Salem was arrested for:

•  Possession of drug paraphernalia-Class D Felony

Jessica Hahn, 35 was arrested for:

• Possession of methamphetamine less than 2 grams- Class D Felony

Sheriff Joe Boshears said, “The investigations couldn’t have been done without their officers and assisting agencies’ hard work and dedication. More arrests are expected to occur within the coming days.”
