The Gravel Yard formed in an actual gravel lot deep in the Ozark Mountains of Stone County. Once a completely informal entity, The Gravel Yard made their way onto the local bluegrass music scene and began to amass a steady following, playing to larger and larger venues. Their sound can best be described as an eclectic amalgamation of hard-driving traditional bluegrass and progressive musicality – juxtaposed with a soulful country and Americana flavor. Bass player Aaron Farris is an alumnus of Lyon College. Members also include Ben Cardin, banjo; Titus Turner, mandolin; Matt Clampit, guitar; Christopher Denny, lead vocals and guitar; and Cliff Prowse, fiddle.
