Twenty-eight students in the Adult Education department at Ozarka College recently received their GED diplomas in an annual graduation ceremony held on May 18in the John E. Miller Education Complex at Ozarka College. The ceremony started with a welcome from Dr. Dawe, president of Ozarka College, at Ozarka College, in which she congratulated the students on their accomplishment and wished them success in the next step of their journey. Dianne Doyle, High School Equivalency Coordinator for the state of Arkansas, addressed the graduating class and praised the students’ hard work. Three students earned the New Horizon Scholarship. This scholarship is for applicants enrolling as first-time, full-time students after earning a GED with as core of at least 675on the completion exam. This tuition scholarship is provided up to four consecutive semesters. The recipients were Maya Curtis, Katherine Dillon, and Olivia Washington.
