The Fulton County Spelling Bee was held in Viola on Jan. 16-17. Contestants from Mammoth Spring, Salem and Viola competed for the top spot. It was an exciting competition between students from fourth through eighth grade, finding the top two spellers. Winning First Place was Seventh Grader Avery McNabb (right) from Mammoth Spring while Eighth Grader Memphis Smith (left) from Viola, was the runner-up. This is McNabb’s third year to win the Fulton County Spelling Bee.
