BREAKING NEWS REGARDING DOUBLE HOMICIDE IN FULTON COUNTY!

A Be on the Lookout (BOLO) and officer safety warning was initially provided to this news agency that was released by the Arkansas State Police. Sharp County Sheriff Shane Russell confirmed the murders and BOLO to this news agency when called. It was issued in the interest of the public and officer safety for anyone who might encounter the suspect. The BOLO was later upgraded after a statewide extradition warrant for absconding and violating probation and parole rules in Arkansas. The absconder is also a person of interest in a double homicide that occurred between Oct. 20 and 21 at Agnos in Fulton County.
The bodies of two females were discovered yesterday, Oct. 21, at one of the the victim’s homes. The identity of the victims has not been publicly released pending official identification. The bodies have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsy.
The Arkansas State Police issued the BOLO and later, the warrant for Jacob Lowell J. Smith, 32, a white Male, 6 2″, weighing 165 pounds, date of birth Aug. 14, 1993. While Smith is wanted for abscoding but is also a person of interest in the Fulton County crimes.
The details of the BOLO included a vehicle being sought, a 2004 Red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with license plate numbers BEH-93R that was stolen from the homicide scene. Two firearms were also stolen, a Sears pump action shotgun, with a painted black wooden stock, and an unknown serial number and a Charter Arms .38 Special Serial # 53810-22L33297. Both have been entered into ACIC as stolen. Smith was traveling in an unknown direction. He may be armed and dangerous and has violent tendencies.
Smith is considered dangerous. If located, ASP requests that they contact them about their location and exercise extreme caution if approaching him.
I’ve attached his most recent booking photo, taken on Sept. 30 in Van Buren County, when he was arrested for Possession of a Controlled substance, as well as recent social media photos. The most notable visible marker is a tattoo of a bow tie on his neck and facial tattoos. A closeup photo is also provided above. Smith’s address at his Oct. 3 arrest in a Clinton, Ark. Super 8 Hotel is 311 Lawrence Road in Smithville, Ark., which has been reported may be that of a family member, according to a neighbor. Smith is listed as a habitual offender with felony cases dating back to 2017.
We are currently awaiting a statement about the case from Fulton County Sheriff Jake Smith. Nothing else has been released in the double homicides from Fulton County at this time. The information regarding the BOLO is from Arkansas State Police, who are assisting Fulton County with the investigation. When Sheriff Smith provides a statement regarding the case we will release it. This is an open and ongoing investigation, and we have released what we have at this time as soon as we could.
