UPDATE 9/23: The location of the arrest was incorrectly reported to the media originally. This story reflects only the property ownership as a change. It is uncertain who actually owns the property on on which the actual Sept. 22 arrest occcurred according to the given address. Also, since his arrest, McCall’s case has been ordered sealed. He will be arraigned in White County Circuit Court on the felony charges on Oct. 7 at 9 a.m. Bond was set yesterday at $200,000 in the case.

Officers with the Sharp County Sheriff’s Department, in cooperation with the U.S. Marshals Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, Arkansas State Police, and the Arkansas Department of Corrections, arrested Aaron William Lee McCall, 35, on an outstanding warrant from White County near Cave City on Sept. 22.
He was arrested at a camper on 483 East Maxville Road around 7:35 a.m. The warrant included an officer safety warning due to McCall’s past behavior. He was taken into custody without incident on charges of Human Trafficking and Second Degree Sexual Assault.
During a prior encounter with McCall in another county, deputies seized multiple firearms from his residence, including a short-barreled AR-style rifle with homemade suppressors. McCall has made suicidal statements in the past to his ex-wife, including sending images of himself with a firearm in his mouth.

The warrant stated McCall was aware of the pending charges, but not the warrant. Due to his history and the seriousness of the charges, deputies were concerned he may have perceived any police interaction as a potential arrest and attempt “suicide by cop,” the officer safety warning stated.
The information stated he sold the last vehicle he owned. At the time of his arrest, he was believed to have been in the Independence County area or Jonesboro and was considered armed and dangerous.
Social media posts show McCall in photos on both his own and current girlfriend and ex-wife, Amanda Duggers’ pages, and he is listed as being in a relationship with Duggers since at least June of this year on both pages.
Sheriff Russell confirmed that McCall was immediately transported to the White County Detenion Center on the felony charges. His bond will be set at a later time.

Sharp County Sheriff Shane Russell expressed his gratitude to all agencies involved for their dedication and teamwork, stating:
“I would like to thank all agencies for their support and efforts in making Sharp County a safer place.” Russell also state there were no other arrests associated with McCall at the residence.
More information on charges from McCall’s arrest and court proceedings in White County will be released after bond is set and Probable Cause Affidavit is released.
