“Dwayne Johnson: A Rock Exhibit” is the latest exhibit in the BRTC student-led Mini-Museum’s Cabinet of Curiosities on the Paragould campus.
Two of Dr. Dianna Fraley’s classes, U.S. History since 1876 and World Civilization since 1660, participated in creating and curating the exhibit. The students researched a variety of topics related to geology: rocks, crystals, fossils, geodes, rocks indigenous to Arkansas, and collecting rocks.
All of the pieces displayed in the Cabinet of Curiosities were collected and donated by BRTC students and staff. Included are stones from Arkansas, Southwest United States, even as far away as Hungary.
This exhibit will run through Dec. 5 and is free and open to the public during campus hours. The exhibit was made possible by a grant from The Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities. For more information about BRTC, visit https://blackrivertech.org.
