Ravenden Community Fall Festival- The event will be held from 1-9 p.m. at 227 Second Street in Ravenden. There will be a day of fun. From food and a car show to live animals, a mechanical bull, pumpkin painting and a hayride. A bed race and costume contests for both children and adults will also be part of the festival. Oct. 25-
Highland Student Council Fourth Annual Trunk or Treat. The free event will not be a drive through this year. It will be held at Rocky Top at the Highland High School Parking Lot from 6- 8 p.m. on Oct. 25. Oct. 28-
Horseshoe Bend’s Haunted Halloween will be held at Crown Point Resort at 1601 Ivory Lane. Beginning at 5 p.m. will be a haunted hole in one contest at the Crown Lake Resort Mini Golf Course. Trunk or Treat at the RV Resort Campgrounds will be held from 6-8 p.m. A hayride begins at 5 p.m. and the trail of Terror opens at 7 p.m. along the walking trails. This is a family event with free admission.
Oct. 28-29-
Mammoth Spring Spooktacular Weekend begins on Oct. 28 with Homecoming Parade at 1:30 p.m. on Main Street. Meet and Greet with Alumni and Homecoming Games. Crowning of Homecoming queen will be held at 5:30 p.m. prior to the game at the school. The Homecoming Dance will follow. On Oct. 29, beginning at 4-8 p.m. there will be spooktacular games. Pictures with the ghoul will be held at the Veterans park from 4-7 p.m. There will also be food, limited edition tee shirts, a Halloween costume contest at 5:30 at Simmons bank. The giant ghoul will be roaming the streets of Mammoth Spring during the events that will also conclude a hunted hayride from 4- 8 p.m., beginning near Browns Furniture downtown.
Oct. 29-
Highland Elks Lodge Trail of Treats will be held at the Tohi Trail on Sat. Oct. 29 from 3-7 p.m. The Trail is located at Hospital Drive. Free hot dogs, drinks and chips will be provided for children 12 and under, others by donation. For more information call 870-257-3388.
Harvest Fest will be held Oct. 29 beginning at 10 a.m. with food, games, prizes and candy. The event includes a trunk or treat, a chili cook off and pie contest at the Sharp County Fairgrounds concluding at 5 p.m. Anyone wishing to participate of with questions is asked to call or text 870-751-0880.
Hardy Fire Department Trick or Treat from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Candy and prizes. Trick or treating starts at the Hardy Fire Department and continues down Main Street. Parking is available at Bill’s Cash Saver.
Festival of Fright will be held at the Ash Flat Community Center Oct. 29, times were not finalized at press time, so check their event page. The free event, sponsored by Ozark Pride will include a costume contest, games, prizes and food.
BooFest at the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church. The event will be held Oct. 29 from 3 -5:30 p.m. There will be a bounce house, games, candy, food, drinks and lots of fun. The event encourages participants to dress up and enjoy the free event together. CVUMC is located at 21 Otter Drive in Cherokee Village.
Oct. 31
Salem Chamber of Commerce Trunk or Treat on the Square will be held from 6 -7:30 p.m. on the square. Anyone wishing to set up a trunk or donate candy is encouraged to contact the Salem Chamber of Commerce via their Facebook page.
Come on down to the Sharp County Senior Center for a Boo-Tacular Halloween celebration from 12 -2 p.m. The free event includes trying your hand at a bucket of treats.
Pick the Trick bucket and take a risk that you’ll grab something smelly, slimy, or out right dreadful!
Evening Shade Trick or Treat on Main Street from 5 -7 p.m. Hot dogs will be provided by the Evening Shade VFW Post 8042.
Second Annual Trunk Or Treat Trail will be held beginning at 6 p.m. at Kozey’s Country Market in Hardy (the former Downhome Restaurant Location). There will be a hayride, bounce house, monster movie marathon lots of candy. Anyone would like to volunteer as a trunker, or to help with the event please contact the event page on Facebook.
All trunkers will be entered into a contest for Best Trunk. The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Kozey’s Country Market, and That’s What She Shed. All Trunkers can set up anytime the day of, and need to be set up and ready no later then 5:30 p.m. The event is hosted by Kozey’s Country Market, That’s What She Shed, Hardy Hotdog and Blues Station and Expressions Graphics.
Cave City Ministerial Alliance Walk Through Trunk or Treat will be held Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the Cave City Park. The event is free to the public.
