Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Business Office Manager, Cindy Hamilton, received the Arkansas Health Care Association’s 2022 Summit Award at the meeting that was held at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock, Ark. on Oct. 28. The prestigious award was for exceptional long-term caregivers.
The awards were presented by Governor Asa Hutchinson and the ceremony was hosted by Southern Administrative Services LLC.
“It was an honor to recognize Cindy for her service to the long-term care community,” said John Montgomery, Chief Operating Officer of Southern Administrative Services LLC. “In her 35 years in the long-term healthcare industry, she has shown a true sense of compassion and care to our elders.”
Hamilton has shown an exceptional commitment to service for over three decades. The Summit Award is presented to a staff member who has exhibited exceptional dedication to PEAK, which stands for Performance, Excellence in outcomes, Elder satisfaction, Affection for residents and their well-being, and being a resource of Knowledge they are willing to pass along to peers. The acronym PEAK also relates to the name of the award, as it represents reaching the summit of professionalism and compassion in resident care.


“It is an honor to receive the Summit Award,” said Hamilton. “Our elders deserve the best care possible, and I strive to deliver that type of care every day and in every aspect of my job.”
With 284 member facilities, the AHCA is Arkansas’ largest organization of long-term care providers. The AHCA promotes high-quality care for patients by providing training, education and assistance to care facilities across the state. The association along with member facilities work to transform the long-term care industry and improve the quality of care in Arkansas. During those years, Cindy has served as a CNA, Activities Director, BOM, and just about anywhere she was needed.
Ash Flat Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Administrator Misty French accepted the award on Hamilton’s behalf.


The facility was also recognized as the Facility of the Year We are so honored to have been recognized as “Facility of the Year” for 2021-2022 within the Southern Administrative Services family of nursing homes.
“I can’t begin to put into words how proud I am that our home was recognized as Facility of the Year. “I‘m so proud of my DON, Tabatha Pebler, and our entire team of awesome caregivers and employees at our little nursing home. I am so grateful to be a part of SAS, to have the leadership we do, and peers who set the bar high. What an honor,” French said on a social media post after receiving the award.
