Highland Elks Lodge #2539, Cherokee Village, Ark. held an “Animal Needs Drive” on Jan.17, 2022 in honor of the late actress and animal activist, Betty White.
Community and Lodge Members were able to donate 12 bales of straw, 100 pounds of dog food, blankets and pillows, 10 dog bowls, 15 dog collars, various dog treats as well as $345 cash to For Every Dog Rescue, LLC animal shelter in Hardy.
In addition, they were able to donate seven bags of cat and dog food, 16 cans of cat foot, a bag of dog treats, blankets, two dog beds, seven sheets, eight food bowls and $25 cash to the Cherokee Village Animal Control Center in Cherokee Village.
