Voters in the Highland School District:
We have had the good fortune of being selected to receive 6.3 million dollars as partnership money from the state toward construction of a new high school. Our current original buildings were begun in 1963 and have multiple structural issues that cannot be simply band-aided to continue use. A positive vote for the millage request made by the Board of Education and administration will give our students and teachers new facilities to use for generations to come. Now is our chance to ensure the success of Highland’s future educational efforts; early voting begins Oct. 24, with election day on Nov. 8.
