This year Strawberry River Chapter celebrated Service to America by showering New Beginnings Pregnancy Help Center on October 11.
Chapter members donated $800 worth of diapers, baby food, clothing, and baby books to the center.
New Beginnings is a nonprofit; their mission is support service for women in crisis pregnancies.
They offer pregnancy tests and counseling, ultrasounds, parent education classes, sup-port services such as clothing, diapers, food, and formula. Located in Ash Flat, the center serves young women in Fulton, Izard, Sharp, Lawrence, Randolph, and Stone counties in north central Arkansas.
Strawberry River DAR is a small chapter covering Sharp, Izard, and Fulton Counties. We work to fulfill the three objectives of DAR which are Education, Historic Preservation, and Patriotism as established in 1890 by our founding members.
