Longtime broadcasters recognized during Izard County Tournament

Area schools recognized three broadcast journalism icons during the championship games of the Izard County Tournament on Dec. 10. This year’s games were hosted by the Cave City School District. The honorees were Coach Bob Harpole, Coach Gary Cooper, and James Bragg.
Bob Harpole broadcast the Izard County Tournament and all area games during basketball season along with accumulating 35 years of coaching and 20 years in broadcasting.
Gary Cooper broadcast the Izard County Tournament and all area games during basketball season along with accumulating 18 years of coaching, 32 years as an official, and 35 years of broadcasting!
James Bragg has been the the owner of KSAR radio 92.3FM since 1986. Bragg has broadcast the Izard County Tournament for 36 consecutive years and has spent 52 years total in broadcasting.
