The Lady Rebels were on fire last week, winning all three of their games. On Monday, Jan. 23, the Lady Rebels took on the Blytheville Lady Chickasaws at Blytheville. The Senior Lady Rebs topped the Chickasaws with a final score of 59-28. Annabelle Bur-ton, Emma Hyslip, and Sadie Meyer led on the scoreboard with 13 points each. This win advanced their conference record to 11-2.The Junior Girls also earned a big win with a final score of55-10. Trinity Gaskins led all scorers with 12 points. Rian Wilson and Kiera Bagwell added eight each. The junior Rebs remain undefeated in conference play. Junior girl’s Junior Varsity fell to Blytheville 18-21. Maddy Miles was the leading score with six points. On Thursday, Jan. 26, the girls played Forrest City at home. In the Senior High matchup, the Freshman/Senior duo of Sadie Meyer and Emma Hyslip combined for 38 of the Lady Rebels’ 59 points, with Meyer racking up 20 and Hyslip, 18 as they topped the Lady Mustangs 59-36.In the Junior High game, Macy Daggett had a big game putting up 17 points in the 44-19 win over Forrest City. It truly was a total team effort with10 Junior Lady Rebels contributing with points on the board. The girls had another clean sweep on Sat., Jan. 28 against the Trumann Wildcats. The Senior Lady Rebels were led by Freshman Sadie Meyer with22 points in their game with a final score of 60-40. Emma Hyslip and Emily Trivitt each contributed ten, and Annabelle Burton had nine. The Junior Lady Rebels got off to a bit of a slow start, but they came out strong for the second half and took care of business finishing the game with a final score of 25-14. Trinity Gaskins led the team with 6points. Macy Daggett and Rian Wilson each had 5.Eighth grader Miya Orosz led the Junior High JV team to a 24-1 win over the Wildcats. Orosz had nine of the team’s points. Maddy Miles had six, and Summer Luke four.
