Della E. Jordan, age 89, of Edwards, Mo., passed away peacefully on Thurs. July 24, 2025, at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, Mo.
She was born on March 20, 1936, in Hardy, Arkansas, the daughter of Pearl M. Robinson, Sr. and Martha Ellen (Johnson) Robinson. Della grew up in Hardy and graduated from Whitehall High School in Whitehall, Arkansas. On May 25, 1954, she was united in marriage to John W. “Bo” Jordan, Sr. In Greenville, Miss. Together, they built a life in Kansas City, Kan., and Arkansas before settling in Edwards, Mo. in 2001.
A devoted member of Colony Baptist Church, Della found joy and purpose in serving through the Angels in Training ministry. She was known for her deep Christian faith and was a prayerful woman who radiated unconditional love for her family.
Della loved the simple pleasures of life—baking, sewing, gardening, and traveling. She especially enjoyed fishing trips with her sisters and spending winters in Southern Texas with her husband. The holidays held a special place in her heart, and she cherished gathering with family and cooking for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Pearl Robinson, Jr. and Frank Robinson; and four sisters, Helen Warren, Lorene Langley, Laura Musgrove, and Anna Faye Devosha.
Della is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Bo Jordan, of the home; four children: John W. Jordan, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Gravois Mills, Missouri; Richard Frank Jordan of Bolivar, Missouri; JoAnn Jordan and her husband Gary Hensley of Edwards, Missouri; and Timothy Ray Jordan and his wife Kelly of Blue Springs, Missouri. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., August 9, 2025, at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1to 2 p.m.
Della’s legacy of faith, family, and love will continue to live on through all who knew and cherished her.
