Members of Strawberry River Chapter, DAR are strong supporters of education which is one of the three objectives of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Each year they present a chapter scholarship to a graduating senior in the tri-county area. We are pleased to announce the 2023 Scholarship recipient is Hannah Massey of Highland High School. One of our committees is the DAR Good Citizen Program which is intended to encourage and re-ward the qualities of good citizenship of high school seniors. Students select-ed as their school’s DAR Good Citizen must have the following qualities:
• Dependability (truthfulness, honesty, punctuality, etc.)
• Service (cooperation, helpfulness, responsibility, etc.)
• Leadership (personality, self-control, initiative, etc.)
• Patriotism (un-selfish loyalty to American ideals)
DAR is proud to announce the 2022-23 DAR Good Citizens as selected by their participating school.
