The Ozark Folk Center State Park will host a Handcrafted Evening on Friday, July 21, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the park’s craft village. Admission to the Craft Village is free for this evening event. There is plenty of parking in the lower lot and the free shuttle will carry people to the Village on the top of the hill. Many of the shops will be open. The Village crafters will be creating items, demonstrating their woodcarving; spinning and weaving; jewelry making; soap making; printing; copper flame painting; and more. Spend the evening talking with our resident working crafters about how they learned their skills and where they find their inspiration. Learn about their tools and their workshops. Buy unique handcrafted items such as pottery, candles, stained glass, and archery bows directly from the folks who are making them. There’s nothing quite like a summer evening in the park. Make a weekend out of your visit with a stay in the comfortable Cabins at Dry Creek at the park. You can book online at www.ozark-folkcenter.com or call 800-264-3655 for your rooming needs.
