Michale Riggs-Self and her Highland Middle School Art classroom have recently been selected to receive an Arkansas Art Educators Presidents Foundation Grant! She applied for this grant with the hopes of being able to purchase supplies/tools to expand the General Fiber Arts part of her classroom. She’ll use the grant money to purchase several things for her classroom including sewing machines. This will give students the opportunity to explore different aspects of the arts.
