Wreaths Across America (WAA) honors the memory of the men and women who sacrificed for their country. Each December 17 is National Wreaths Across America Day; the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
Strawberry River Chapter is proud to be added to the list of sponsors for Wreaths Across America. Seven members, two HODARS, and family members assisted with the ceremony at Mountain Home Cemetery, Saturday, December 17, which is the final resting place for 350 Veterans. A fresh balsam Veterans wreath was placed on the headstone of an American hero.
We were proud to support this event to REMEMBER our fallen U. S. veterans, HONOR those who serve, and TEACH children the value of freedom.
